The Majestic Dance Club takes bookings and payments for classes and private lessons in advance by bank transfer. We do not Take payment in cash. The classes are charged at £54.00 per couple for each four week set. Private lessons are charges at £30.00 per lesson. Invoices are emailed to clients and have be paid in advance of any class or lesson.
At this time we operate infection control measures and will only accept couples. We do not accept any single dancers without a partner.
Most dancers wear comfortable casual clothes. It helps if footwear is soft enough to be able to bend the foot at the toe joint, although slippery soles, high thin heels or sling backs should be avoided.
All our ballroom and latin american dance classes are held in the evening, thus all dancers must be adults over 18. However, all age groups are well represented, from young adults to the mature young at heart. We have rockers from 18 to 80!
Personal dance tuition can be arranged, subject to availability. Private dance lessons can be arranged for couples on Sunday morning or early afternoon and it is normal practice for two instructors to be teaching in the ballroom at the same time. The ballroom dances we teach include: Waltz, Tango, Slow Foxtrot, Quickstep, and Viennese Waltz. The latin american dances we teach include: Rumba, Samba, Cha Cha Cha, ballroom jive, and Paso Doble. We also teach Classical Sequence (old time) - many of these are popular at social dances.
You can start the first Sunday of any month, we use a rolling programme for the beginners social dance class and start a new dance each month, however, you will need to make a booking we do not permit casual visitors so please don't just turn up.
